The goal of the Networking and Multimedia Systems Lab is to facilitate the investigation of problems related to the delivery of multimedia data over computer networks. This goal is focused into two parts: (1) identifying the networking services that will be required to meet the needs of existing and next-generation multimedia applications, and (2) identifying methods that multimedia applications can use to overcome limited functionality in today's heterogeneous networking environments.
