This site is dedicated to the beauty of Santa Barbara, particularly to her skies. Living along the California coast is a treat, and everyday we glory in the color of the sky, the contrast of the mountains and the touch of an ocean breeze. We realize that there are some of you who may be looking out on a dreary day. You may find it hard to wake up and face more rain, snow, whatever. Well, this is for you! We hope you draw some enjoyment from these photos. I know we enjoy sharing them with you.

Each day we will be taking a picture near the UCSB campus and posting it here. We'll keep a calendar for each month so you can follow along as our weather changes from mild to warm to absolutely lovely. It does rain occasionally, but you'll need to be a faithful subscriber to catch us at our worst.

The Skies have fallen. After more than a year, we've closed the shutters on the project. Please continue to enjoy the collection of pictures. If you feel strongly about us starting back up, please drop us a line.
